Our Goal, Commitment

We are pleased to present our documentary: “Restoring Compassion: Bringing Culturally Sensitive Senior Care Services to the Nikkei Community."  This documentary was made possible by the financial support of the George and Sakaye Aratani Care Award Program administered by the UCLA Asian American Studies Center. The viewpoints in this film represent those of Koreisha Senior Care & Advocacy (KSCA) and do not necessarily represent the views of the University of California, UCLA or its Chancellor. We thank all of the community members who participated in this documentary.

Needs Assessment for Japanese American Senior Facilities

This study was conducted from December 2018-April 2019 to assess the Nikkei community's needs for facility-based senior care services.  1,478 Japanese Americans of 5 generations participated in this research. 
This report was made possible by the financial support of the George and Sakaye Aratani CARE Grant, the University of California Los Angeles/Asian American Studies Center and Koreisha Senior Care & Advocacy.
